As senior investment consultant, Peter advises VALUEworks’ key client on all aspects of their long-term investment strategies. His professional joy stems from empowering investors to solve their investment and wealth structuring issues, often driven by unique family dynamics.

Peter served on Rothschild Bank Zurich's executive board and was the bank's Chief Investment Officer and Global Head of Research. Before that he worked for a number of Swiss banks and independent investment advisers. Peter invented the “Cantrade Fund Radar”, the first fund analysis tool using visual means to illustrate complex evaluations of asset managers. His book on multi-asset investment strategies and asset manager selection published in 2000 sold over 25'000 copies. Peter's first experience in the finance sector reaches back to 1987 when he joined Barclays Bank in New York as a financial analyst.

Peter graduated with a Master’s degree in Banking and Finance from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland and subsequently became a CFA and FRM charter holder. Peter keeps close ties to academia with his teaching assignments at the University of Zurich and engagements with other universities and think-tanks on subjects like sustainable investing, behavioural finance, economic history and alternative economic theories. As a member of the CFA Institute he regularly advises financial journalists on investment topics. Peter is a founding member of Advisornet.ch, a network of independent investment consultants.
